High school spring sports begin in the next 2 weeks. All athletes must have a current physical to practice.

Students enrolled in Human Biology and A&P were invited to observe a live triple bypass surgery today offered by the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Students were allowed to communicate via Zoom to the surgical team in order to learn more about the surgical process and career opportunities in medicine.

The Minutemen earned a 58-43 win over the visiting Pawnee Indians tonight. The victory came on Senior night. Congrats to our Minutemen and Seniors!




Bunker Hill High School Student Council will be hosting a blood drive on Monday, March 3 from 8:30 AM-1:30 PM. To sign up for a time spot, please contact Amy Roller at aroller@bhcusd.org.

Today the SCI Career Center and the Macoupin County CEO program presented to the sophomores and juniors about the opportunities they offer our students for junior and senior year.



BHHS Students Ashley Gerecke, Trinity Throne and Jadalyn Black gave a presentation today about potentially offering Key Club at BHHS! Key Club is a student-led organization that encourages high school students to develop leadership skills through community service.



The BHHS Library started a Blind Date with a book Challenge. When students finish a sample of the book, they will "rate their date." So far at least 20 books have been check out.

Students in Mr. Banwart's Human Geography class made a cart-tastic escape from school to Meehan's for a short field trip. They stocked up on all kinds of knowledge of what's in our food, where it comes from, global/local economics, and the amazing people that run Meehan's every day. You should have seen them in the bakery aisle though; they were really on a roll. Huge thanks to Lyndsey and all the staff at Meehan's for making this grocery store trip a great one for us!







BHHS Calculus students were having some fun today in class. They were participating in an activity about derivatives and concavities. Noah Butler also made up a joke: "Why did the function go to the dentist? Because it had a con-cavity!



Tonight is Futures Night at Hlafka Hall! At halftime of the JV and varsity games there will be a scrimmage between future Minutemen!
The JV game will be running on a shortened format so we do expect both halftimes to happen sooner than normal.
