Congratulations to Zoey Watkins who is the 2023 Macoupin County Champion in the Long Jump.
Congratulations to our Gateway Metro Conference Track and Field Champions. Grant Burch won the discus with a throw of 133' 4" (40.66 meters) as well as set a new conference record.. Zoey Watkins won the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 51.42. She improved her personal record by over 2 seconds and in the process set a new school record and a new conference record. Zoey also earned a 3rd place medal in the 200 meter run. Great job to Zoey and Grant!

BHHS welcomed Joe Parmentier as the new varsity head basketball coach this evening during a student/parent meeting. Coach Parmentier is very excited to be a part of the BHHS family and cannot wait to get started!
The BHHS Honors Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 12th at 2pm. During the ceremony, students will be recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments. The community is invited!

Today, Illinois State Police Trooper Rodger Goines addressed BHHS on the dangers of drinking and driving and other distractions while driving. The overall theme was "safety" in all driving situations, but especially tomorrow while BHHS students attend prom at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville. All students thanked Trooper Goines with a round of applause for his message and his service.

High school students visited 2nd grade today at Wolf Ridge to read Clifford's Good Deeds. They also completed a writing activity about what good deeds they could do at school and their community. Every 2nd grader got to keep their book.
This week, the BHHS FFA talked to the 3rd, 6th, and 8th graders about agriculture and what FFA is. They also played agriculture bingo!
Our Minutemen came out on top tonight with a 13-3 win versus Maryville Christian. Great job guys!
This past Wednesday, Mrs. Eschbach's College Prep English 4 class had Dr. Collin Vorbeck, Assistant Professor of Theatre from Blackburn College, visit to talk to students about different opportunities at college like Theatre. They were able to act out a fun script, and as you can see, they had a blast!
