
BHHS, the American Legion Partridge Post 578, and the BSA Scouts and Cubs participated in our annual Veteran's Day program today. Thank you to all of the participants that helped us remember and honor all those who have served so faithfully to defend our country and preserve our freedom.






As part of Red Ribbon Week, students in Mr. Haynes' Health classes had a competition to come up with the best memes with a drug free message. Here are the 4 winners.






Mrs. Roller's College Prep English 3 class participated in a cool activity today. Student groups worked on a hexagonal thinking activity based upon their reading of "The Crucible." During the activity, students asked questions, debated, and made connections with the text and their ideas.

On October 20th, Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled (MCDD) had their 25th Anniversary of Mini Olympics. Our students volunteered and they had a great time!








BHHS health classes organized an awesome Red Ribbon Week! The week included dress up days, fun outside activities, and a presentation on drug abuse prevention. Special thanks to Clint Hamel and Christina Smith from the Gateway Foundation for presenting to our students.






BHHS students had a great time today visiting the Construction Expo in Belleville! Students had the opportunity to test their skills in welding, soldering, concrete finishing, operating, and in several other trades.











This is the updated 1st quarter honor roll.







This week the carpentry class is building step stools, birdhouses, jewelry boxes, shelving units, and other various objects.








Mr. Haynes' Health classes at BHHS have planned Red Ribbon Week activities for the High School starting tomorrow. Dress Up Days are -
Monday- "Follow your dreams", wear PJ's
Tuesday- "Hide from drugs", wear camo
Wednesday- "Team up against drugs", wear sports apparel.
Thursday- "Give drugs the boot", dress like a cowboy
Friday- "Black drugs out of your life", wear all black.
On Friday, there will be 2 speakers at the high school to talk to students from The Gateway Foundation, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.





Students in Mrs. Johnson’s Algebra 1 (8th grade) class are using the game of Coordinate Battleship to review the rules of the Cartesian Coordinate System and an to introduction to Unit 3.






On Friday, BHHS hosted a Trades Career Fair. Thank you to everyone who came to show our students different options for careers!
Masonry Union, Boilermakers, Iron Workers, Machinists, Turney Heating and Cooling, Laborers Union, WestStar Aviation, Carpenters Union, Pipefitters, Academy of Pet Careers, Sanks Machining, Sheet Metal Workers, Heat and Frost Insulators, US Army
US Marines, and Lincoln Tech.











Our 8th grade participated in hallway decorating this year. They constructed a tree with purple flowers and hanging streamers!





The freshman class decorated the cubby hole section of the hallway this year. They had used some streamers to make their hallway standout!




Sophomores decorated the hallway by the bathrooms. The purple lighting was a great touch!





Our Juniors had the end of the hall to decorate, they really had the purple theme going!

Our homecoming pep rally turned out great yesterday! All students participated in dancing at the end of the pep rally.





Today starts off our homecoming week. Our dress up theme was soccer mom or barbeque dad. Our students did a great job dressing up!
