The Mid Illinois All-Star Game was played Sunday at Blackburn College. Our very own Will Manar scored 8 points in the game. BHHS Coach Marston was one of the coaches. Final score was 91-87 with the black team winning over the red team.

There will be an informational meeting for any current 8th-11th grade boy interested in playing soccer this fall on Sunday April 6th at Staunton Soccer Complex at 5:30.

With the weather this week, we have multiple schedule changes for our high school sports.
The baseball game at Pawnee has been rescheduled for 4/11 at 6:30 in Pawnee.
The tennis match on 4/10 vs Alton Marquette has been moved to 4/8 at Gordon Moore Park.
We have added a boys volleyball game on 5/2 vs Freeburg at home. The match will start at 6:00.

The boys volleyball game today vs Belleville East has been canceled. There will be practice at Wolf Ridge from 5:30-7:30
The boys tennis match for today at Alton has also been canceled. The match next Wednesday, 4/9 will be played at Alton at 4:00.
BHHS Esports qualified for and played in the IHSEA state tournament over the weekend for the game "Apex Legends." The tournament was held in person at NIU's Esports Arena. They competed against the top 20 teams throughout the state in the IHSEA. All teams played a total of six games for total points. After battling through a 3hr 40 minute drive, leaving at 3:45 AM, and some tech issues, the team fought their way up to 10th place.

The Bunker Hill High School Track and Field team took a day out of their practice for a service project. The team combed the school grounds picking up garbage. Thank you for taking time to help keep BHHS clean!








The BHHS FFA recently competed in the section dairy cattle judging contest. The Varsity team earned 6th place while the Freshman team earned 5th place. Talyn Rather and Peter Jarden tied for the varsity team top score. Braydon Henfling was the high scorer for the freshman team and earned 5th place overall in the contest.





The Bunker Hill-Staunton team of Zander Machota and Logan Miersch finished in 4th place at the Newton Lake Tournament on Saturday with a weight of 16lbs 6oz. Logan also got big bass in the tourney with a 6lb, 14 oz fish.





Recently, our Spanish 1 students have been learning about the "Castells" of Tarragon: a yearly competition in Spain to see who can build the tallest and most creative HUMAN tower! Today, they built their own "Castells" out of red solo cups! Our height winners go to : Daxton Ronen, Ray Elliott, Nick Chapman,
Cameron Watkins, and Andrew Bratten. Our teachers will be voting on who won most creative!









Congrats to Evie Lievers! Evie signed a letter of intent to attend University of Illinois-Springfield. She is pursuing a nursing degree.
