The February Student of the Month is Roland Thyer. His parents are Emily and Richard Thyer.
He has an older sister, Kyla, and two younger brothers Clint and Clark. Throughout high school, Roland participated in Golf, Scholastic Bowl, Esports, Baseball, and National Honors Society.
Roland achieved Principal’s List each year and is in the top 3 of his class. He received the National Rural and Small Town Recognition award for great scholarly achievements. Outside of school, Roland enjoys spending time with family, working, and playing video games. Some of Roland’s favorite memories are having fun during baseball practice. He plans to go to Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville for a degree in Electrical Engineering.
