The May Student of the Month at Bunker Hill High School is Daniel Manar. Daniel is the son of Joe Manar and Robyn Proctor. Daniel has two older sisters, Josie and Emily Manar, and one younger sister, Quinn Proctor. Throughout high school, Daniel participated in FFA, where he was elected president twice, basketball, football, track, chess club, was a member of the National Honor Society, and served as the 2023 Class President. Daniel achieved both president's list and high honor roll throughout his high school career. In Daniel’s spare time, he has participated in Clean up the Park Day and helped with the Community Pickleball Day. Outside of school Daniel has a job at a local Dairy Queen, spends time with his family, and watches sports. Daniel plans on attending Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville to study pre-dentistry, and then Southern Illinois University Dental School of Alton. Daniel’s fondest high school memory was the 2023 Macoupin County Tournament. He enjoyed having it in his home gym.
