Dear Parent or Guardian,
The state of Illinois has launched Summer EBT, also known as, Sun bucks for the summer of 2025. The purpose of this program is to provide food assistance to students who live in low income households in the form of a one time, $120 EBT card per qualifying student.
If you already receive benefits such as SNAP, TANF, Income Eligible Medicaid, have homeless/fostered/youth in care kids, or your child(ren) participates in the free/reduced lunch program at school, there is nothing further you need to do. The benefits will automatically be mailed to you. Please notify the district or school offices if your address has changed. Benefits will be delivered to the physical address our system has on file. If your address is incorrect, you will not get the benefit.
