EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, AND UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ALL SCHOOLS IN BUNKER HILL CUSD 8 ARE CLOSED

As you probably have heard, Governor Pritzker has ordered a mandatory statewide school closure for all Illinois public and private schools until at least March 30th.  Our district has been working hard this week to prepare for just such a contingency with e-learning and continued learning kits.  Chromebooks and learning kits were sent home with students today.  In order to help combat this public health crisis, Bunker Hill schools will be closed to all activity effective today.  On Monday, staff will report and any parents that still need to pick up Chromebooks or learning kits may come to the school on Monday.  Also, the buildings will be open on Monday, March 16 for parents to pick up their children's medications.

I realize this leaves a lot of unanswered questions, and is a last minute inconvenience, but please know that we take health and wellness very seriously and will begin immediately thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our facilities and equipment.

We plan on still offering meals but more details will be forthcoming.  Please stay tuned to our school Facebook page or our website for the latest information.  We will continue to keep you informed throughout this process.  Thank you for your partnership and understanding.
